Hello again my friends! I apologize for the lack of posting yesterday. I had every intention of getting a post scheduled, but alas, time got short and I simply forgot! I wanted to share with you a few pictures (along with little stories) of our trip to San Antonio for Easter and our godson's baptism... enjoy!
First a picture of the sweet little man that brought us to Texas in the first place!
Come on, can you get any more precious than that?!?!
We got in on Thursday afternoon and basically just relaxed until Saturday. We caught up with our dear friends, loved on the sweet babies, and shared a few laughs. Saturday we headed (well, minus mama and the boys) to the San Antonio Missions, the Alamo and the Riverwalk.
Oh, and did I mention we all were dressed in green? We must be friends. This picture of J and J (hah!) just cracks me up... none of that was staged.
These missions were a perfect trip for Holy Saturday... the missions were so beautiful and peaceful.
If only I could have spent quality time in some of their cloisters!
We ended the day with a trip to the Alamo (snoozefest) and a yummy Mexican dinner on the Riverwalk. I could spend hours walking the river - so beautiful, breezy and fun!
After Easter Sunday Mass, we took a few
family photos and I love this one of me and J! Oh, hey! Here's my
eShakti skirt, finally got a picture in it! After Mass we had a delicious brunch, played
Settlers of Catan
(oh.my.gosh. so fun) and the 4 boys took a nap.
Then it was off to get the babykins
baptized! The ceremony was short and beautiful. After a long day (and a delicious turkey dinner) we finally got a little
godfamily picture. Please notice J holding the baby... what a pro!
Okay that about wraps it up! I hope you enjoyed my little trip as much as I did! Oh wait... quick story. On the way home I was meant to fly from San Antonio to Houston to Pittsburgh (J was on an earlier flight) but Houston was horribly backed up. Needless to say I flew to Houston,
then back to San Antonio, met back up with our friends, drank some delicious
Hill Country
wine, slept for about three hours and finally flew home to Pittsburgh! Phew... okay, how was your Easter weekend? Wonderful I hope!
