happy {royal} weekend

via

How many of you woke up super early (4am?) to watch all of the Royal Wedding festivities with me?  It was such a fun thing to experience live... getting the first few glimpses of her dress, trying to read the lips of Prince Harry as she was walking down the aisle, critiquing certain princesses choice in hats... If you didn't watch it, please go see some clips! Princess Kate's elegance and class will go down in history right next to that of Prince Grace of Monaco. Sigh... to be royal!

mod prints

I'm absolutely in love with these prints from mod memento. I think they would be fun to have in a few rooms of the house! Don't you think?

perfect for a little boy's room
ok I would love this.
this wedding monogram is so fun

There are so many fun prints for nurseries, but I didn't want to post too many in fear that y'all would get the wrong idea! No baby here! Which one is your favorite?

weekend recap

Hello again my friends! I apologize for the lack of posting yesterday. I had every intention of getting a post scheduled, but alas, time got short and I simply forgot! I wanted to share with you a few pictures (along with little stories) of our trip to San Antonio for Easter and our godson's baptism... enjoy!

First a picture of the sweet little man that brought us to Texas in the first place!

Come on, can you get any more precious than that?!?!

We got in on Thursday afternoon and basically just relaxed until Saturday. We caught up with our dear friends, loved on the sweet babies, and shared a few laughs. Saturday we headed (well, minus mama and the boys) to the San Antonio Missions, the Alamo and the Riverwalk.

Oh, and did I mention we all were dressed in green? We must be friends. This picture of J and J (hah!) just cracks me up... none of that was staged.

These missions were a perfect trip for Holy Saturday... the missions were so beautiful and peaceful.

If only I could have spent quality time in some of their cloisters!

We ended the day with a trip to the Alamo (snoozefest) and a yummy Mexican dinner on the Riverwalk. I could spend hours walking the river - so beautiful, breezy and fun!

After Easter Sunday Mass, we took a few family photos and I love this one of me and J! Oh, hey! Here's my eShakti skirt, finally got a picture in it! After Mass we had a delicious brunch, played Settlers of Catan (oh.my.gosh. so fun) and the 4 boys took a nap.

Then it was off to get the babykins baptized! The ceremony was short and beautiful. After a long day (and a delicious turkey dinner) we finally got a little godfamily picture. Please notice J holding the baby... what a pro!

Okay that about wraps it up! I hope you enjoyed my little trip as much as I did! Oh wait... quick story. On the way home I was meant to fly from San Antonio to Houston to Pittsburgh (J was on an earlier flight) but Houston was horribly backed up. Needless to say I flew to Houston, then back to San Antonio, met back up with our friends, drank some delicious Hill Country wine, slept for about three hours and finally flew home to Pittsburgh! Phew... okay, how was your Easter weekend? Wonderful I hope!

holy week

My dear friends, I will be taking the remainder of the week off to commemorate Holy Week. Also, J and I will be in sunny Texas visiting friends and our new godson, so I plan on soaking up all of that goodness leaving no time for blogging. I'm sure you all understand, right?!? Good.

via

Until Monday, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend and that it is warm, sunny and beautiful wherever you are.

wish list

Yesterday I spent a long time trying to figure out things I should add to my wish list for my birthday... there are so many things, but for some reason all I could come up with were a pair of Toms and some hangers. Pretty pathetic, no? Well... here is a better wish list, even though most of this has no place or purpose in my apartment or life right now. So, one day!

For around the house...

porcelain knitware vases from alyssa ettinger

For the day when we get a king sized bed...

vintage ticking stripe bedding from Pottery Barn

For a bigger kitchen...

verdant bread bin from Anthro

Is there anything that you've been pining over but just don't have a place for yet???
