Good morning loves! You know what is motivating me this week? Thursday is the blog's first birthday! How exciting! My blog is still a little baby (basically a toddler now!) but I know it will grow into something great. I can't wait to celebrate later this week. Tomorrow ends my 13 day work marathon. I'm so looking forward to having a Sunday off... I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with my time.

february color

Now that I don't bite my nails anymore, I've been a little obsessed with painting them. I've been wanting to start sharing my nail color with you for a while now. I typically keep the same color for about a month or so, and I try real hard to make it relevant! Before I show you February, here's what I've had recently...

November I wore a pretty orange to celebrate the last days of Fall.

December I was festive and wore this red.

January I decided on a fun purple. I don't know why, but it seemed fitting.

For February, I've been wearing this color. At first I was considering more of a red, but I needed a bright color to pick me up out of the winter blues. Party in my Cabana did the trick! Its amazing what a little bit of lacquer can do for your mood, no?

Now I have to find a good color for March... I have a few in mind, but you'll have to wait to find out!

I'm absolutely smitten with 29olives line of stationery. One of my 2011 resolutions was to be a better friend and to write more letters. I have been pretty good so far but I would be far more motivated if I had some more pretty note cards.

I'm a big fan of chips and salsa, chips and queso, chips and onion dip, basically chips and anything! And we all know I love vintage glassware... so how perfect is this? I've never seen such a handy little contraption for salsa like this. Wouldn't it be perfect for a party or for even just a few friends stopping by? I think so. They yellow color is screaming summertime soiree to me. How wonderful!

welcome weekend!

Oh happy weekend! Sadly, I will be working all weekend but I'm determined to stay positive about it! We have had beautiful weather all week (this morning was just to die for...) and the thought of flowers blooming and spring coming soon is just making me giddy with excitement! I just can't wait! To celebrate Spring, once it is officially here, I will have to buy some flowers and have them brighten up my apartment.

On another note... I miss y'all! I feel as if I have been so detached the past week because of how busy I have been. I hope you are all still out there! Drop me a note if you are - I love reading them! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that it is warm and sunny where you are (or that you have a delightfully rainy day so you can stay in and be cozy tomorrow, that's good too!).
