five years

Five years ago I made a leap and started dating the man who would become my husband. Even then, on October 11, 2006, I had a pretty good feeling that he would be my husband some day. Within the next few months or so, I was down right certain of it.

We had been toying with the idea of dating for a while  but it wasn't until this day that I agreed to it. J was ironically in Pittsburgh, where we have lived since we were married. The day he got back we baked cookies in my dorm's kitchen while listening to music {someday I'll tell you the story about how he won me over with an Nsync song}.

Our first official date was at the always-classy Logan's Roadhouse. I wore makeup. He made fun of me for that fact saying I only did it because it was a date {he was right}.

I won't say that they have been the best five years because they have had quite a few struggles {plus, really, 1992 kind of rocked}, but I can say that they have been the most fulfilling five years of my life. I wouldn't trade them for the world Love you my dear.



PS - In the spirit of Emily, I may have to share the details of our funny little love story some day {though she's got me beat with concussions and falling trees.}

PPS - That first photo was taken on our first anniversary during my senior year of college. Weren't we adorable way back then? It was tradition in our apartment {our = me and my female roomies not me and J!!!} to take pics in that awkward spot with the painting behind us. Random fact I thought you'd want to know.
