It looks like its going to be a beautiful weekend, why not celebrate it with some tasty summer cocktails a la Southern Living! They've published a few cocktails to sip on while watching the races (tomorrow: Preakness). Try one!

Black-eyed Susan Cocktail

3/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup pineapple juice
3 tbs vodka
3 tbs light rum
2 tbs orange liqueur
crushed ice
lime slices and fresh cherries for garnishing
Stir together first 5 ingredients. Fill 2 (12-oz.) glasses with crushed ice. Pour orange juice mixture over ice. Garnish, if desired. Serve immediately.

Bourbon Smash

6 fresh or frozen raspberries, thawed
1 tbs sugar
1 small lime wedge
3-4 mint or basil leaves
crushed ice
1/4 cup bourbon

Place raspberries, sugar, lime wedge, and mint or basil leaves in a chilled 10-oz. tumbler. Gently press raspberry mixture against sides of cup with a cocktail muddler or back of a spoon to release flavors. Fill glass with crushed ice and bourbon; stir well. Serve immediately with a cocktail straw.
